Fiomarine Industries
Fiomarine is a Hobart-based company, which manufactures a range of products to secure and retrieve underwater data and equipment. Fiomarine has collaborated with and supplies to a variety of customers across the marine industry, oil and gas, fishing and aquaculture. Fiomarine is a trusted and recognised supplier to the defence industry, with their technology been incorporated in a number of defence projects, saving considerable time and money for their customers.
Fiomarine joined the AIC’s TechFast® program in 2006 to optimise the manufacturing and in-use performance of the Fiobuoy (Fiomarine’s innovative submersible marine marker buoy and retrieval system). As a result, a new and improved design concept was developed, which was then included in future releases of the Fiobuoy.
