La Casa Del Formaggio is a South Australian owned and operated family business manufacturing and wholesaling a range of premium quality Italian style cheeses. The company started from the production in the kitchen of its founders Gerardo and Rosa Cicchiello. The customer response was so overwhelming they decided to focus on cheese making and in 1988 La Casa Del Formaggio was born. La Casa Del Formaggio recently won a number of prestige awards such as KPMG Young Leader Award in the SA Premier's Food Awards and Food Challenge Awards in the Dairy Category.
The AIC assisted the company to grow its business by providing an access the Australian Government's Enterprise Connect Researcher in Business (RIB) Program. With the help of the AIC La Casa Del Formaggio also managed to attract assistance of South Australian Research and Development Institute, what provided the company with resources of many times their size. As a result of the AIC engagement, Casa Del Formaggio had developed and launched a number of new product lines that are successfully performing in market.
