Being a not-for-profit organisation, Newcastle Innovation facilitates transfer of knowledge, technology, and scientific research from the University of Newcastle to its commercial partners across a range of industries from mining to biotechnology.

The AIC held two Commercialisation BootCamps for Newcastle Innovation staff and students in 2007. The workshop received excellent feedback, with the majority of participants estimating it as an invaluable experience.
