The AIC launches the Queensland Inventor Service

The AIC launches the Queensland Inventor Service

The Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC) this week launched a new service for Queensland inventors to the replace the previous service provided by the Triton Foundation.

The new Queensland Inventor Service, known as QInS, now includes access to the Inventors Guide, which consists of online tools, resources and information to assist inventors with the commercialisation of their ideas.

The Inventor Service can help inventors to:

  • Understand the steps involved in taking their idea to market
  • Objectively assess their idea or opportunity before they invest a lot of money in it
  • Plan their next steps
  • Access more than 30 useful guides and templates to help them along the way
  • Learn from case studies
  • Find out what other assistance is available.

To access QInS, inventors can request login codes by registering their details at or by calling 1300 364 739.

Inventors can then log in to the Inventors Guide, complete a self assessment questionnaire and automatically receive a report suggesting next steps, based on the information they provided. After they complete the questionnaire the inventors have the option to discuss the information with an AIC consultant to receive further advice.

The AIC is proud to be working with the Queensland Government to deliver an improved service for Queensland inventors.
