"Commercialisation gets a budget boost" ATSE

The view that pumping more money into research does not automatically increase innovation within an economy seems finally to have become respectable thinking in politics. One of the unexpected announcements in the Australian Government’s 2009-10 Budget was the allocation of nearly $200 million in seed funding to establish Commercialisation Australia, with ongoing funding of $85 million per year.
