AIC initiates collaborative project with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information
The AIC has initiated a collaborative project with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) to develop a commercialisation framework for KISTI to further enhance the commercialisation activities of Korean technology-based SMEs.
The recent commercialisation scoping workshop facilitated by the AIC in Korea aimed to better understand KISTI’s commercialisation strategy and objectives, the current methodology used by KISTI for commercialisation, and to map KISTI’s desired commercialisation processes. Furthermore, the AIC’s online commercialisation management system tools were investigated to determine whether they could be integrated within KISTI’s processes to provide additional automation when assessing new commercial opportunities for SMEs.
The next stage of work will involve the development of a commercialisation framework, incorporating elements of the commercialisation management system for KISTI to standardise their processes and create additional value for their technology-based SMEs.
