"Students leading the way" Vision CRC

The CRC Leadership and Innovation course was established in 1997 to help PhD and Postdoctoral students in CRCs to develop an understanding of the nature of leadership, how to work effectively with others, and the essentials of successful R&D.

A two day “Commercialisation Bootcamp™”, run by the Australian Institute for Commercialisation focused on how to explore the commercial value of research. The two days covered topics like structuring and aiming research projects towards commercial outcomes, IP protection and obtaining funding for start up companies. The bootcamp was highly interactive and included working in teams towards developing a commercialisation plan for a real product. Ultimately, this concept was pitched to a committee of experts.
