Innovativity for Australian Manufacturers

Innovativity for Australian Manufacturers

The AIC recently assisted the Advanced Manufacturing CRC (AMCRC) in the development of a four day innovation management training program for Australian manufacturers, designed to enhance their understanding and innovation capability.

The program – Innovativity - is designed to propel Australian innovators into global manufacturing and aims to provide Australian manufacturing companies with the innovation training to overcome one of today’s biggest growth obstacles – how to develop, protect and commercialise technology.

The inaugural four day Innovativity program held in Melbourne in June, introduced a practical innovation framework to help take their innovations to global markets.

Topics covered over the four days included:

  • Defining innovation
  • How to pre-empt the market
  • Maximising intangible assets

Attendees comprised of a range of participants from SME’s and local manufacturing companies including ANCA, Algae Enterprises, Pro-Active Medical and Tasweld Engineering.

Feedback included “The experience and calibre of presenters and facilitator were excellent, giving confidence that we were learning from some of the best in innovation. The content was relevant not only to our strategy and management but also to day-to-day activities and our company culture.”
