National Innovation Review – The Country Waits

National Innovation Review – The Country Waits

This week marks an important point for Australia along its innovation journey with the scheduled release of Dr Terry Cutler’s green paper for the National Innovation Review. With many companies still reeling from the axing of Commercial Ready and funding from the Australian government for our own market-pull research commercialisation program stalled, expectations are high that the review will match the policy rhetoric with practical recommendations that move Australia ’s innovation system forwards.

As Australia ’s foremost organisation helping both small businesses and governments to improve their performance by reaping more value from their intellectual property, the AIC will release a Special Edition AIC E-newsletter next week in response to the green paper. Innovation will never be the subject for a Newspoll and perhaps the agenda has been hijacked by economic purists, but we know from our work with small business and entrepreneurs that innovation is something that is done, not debated. The AIC will bring you our views and our client’s views of the real world of innovation and inform you of how well the review hits the sweet spot.
