Cameron Johnsis the Queensland Manager of the TechFast program, a business unit of the AIC. Cameron has spent 18 years working within roles encompassing economic development, commercialisation and innovation. Technology transfer and bridging the gap between research and Industry is at the core of his academic studies at the University of Tasmania . Cameron has a diploma of Applied Science – Aquaculture and the Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation and is currently completing his Masters in Business.

This foundation of knowledge also adds to the years of experience within facilitating innovation across Australia . He works mainly in communication roles from business development to management consulting along with project and contract management. His scope of experience extends from start ups through to management consulting to multi million dollar companies collaborating with research organisations. Added to this experience he has founded companies, run small businesses, managed major projects and project groups.  He has worked with companies owned and operated across Asia and has worked in Japan within a trading company dealing with global companies.

Currently working for the Australian Institute for Commercialisation Cameron has directly worked with over 20 SMEs through the TechFast program to collaborate with numerous research organisations.
