How are start-up companies really faring?

Start-up companies in Australia are always short of at least one commodity, and that’s cash.  With the double whammy of the severe economic downturn and the axing of the Commercial Ready program from last year’s budget, what has been the impact on these companies?  While the rest of the public receives stimulus handouts, have start-up companies at the same time really been crashing and burning?  This article, reprinted with the permission of our friends at Anthill Magazine, examines the evidence.  What’s more, if this week’s budget changes things, we promise to bring you the good news.
