Redarc
Based in Lonsdale, South Australia, Redarc has over 30 years’ experience in the research, design, development and manufacture of a range of electronic voltage converters and associated products. The company has an extensive customer base both locally and internationally and supplies directly to such giants as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and DAF.
When Redarc has a new concept for smart battery charger, it approached AIC for the assistance in the further development of the concept. Together with the AIC, Redarc developed a collaborative innovation strategy, identified a collaboration partner in the University sector and was able to reduce a number of commercial and technical risks in taking the technology to market. As a result of TechFast program Redarc successfully applied for the AusIndustry Commercial Ready Grant that provided the company with AUS $1.6M.
