What is TechFast?

The AIC’s TechFast program assists small businesses nationally, across all industry sectors, to remain competitive though obtaining “that market edge”.  It does this by identifying and linking our clients with the right people and organisations to:

• Solve product, process or service issues
• Identify and access technical capability to fill internal gaps
• Identify new growth opportunities for business
  
  

Since 2004, TechFast has developed a unique understanding of where capability and technology development activity lies across research organisations and businesses nationally.  Importantly, TechFast specialises in helping businesses to access relevant skills, facilities and technology in these organisations.

Value to Businesses

TechFast is a needs-driven business support program that works with businesses to assist in areas that require external capability.  The TechFast approach and service provides the following value:

• Practical, hands-on support to grow
• Expands businesses networks and provides introductions to potential partners of interest
• Access to additional innovation and commercial experience and support
• Access to new sources of ideas and thinking
• Assistance through independent facilitation of new commercial negotiation and partnership agreements
  
  

The TechFast program is funded by Australian and state governments to provide these services to Australian business.  The program also benefits from significant support from various industry associations, the research sector and other service providers across the country.
