Innovation Coaching
Assisting clients develop the culture and practices of innovation in business. The Australian Institute for Commercialisation Innovation Coaching program is based on the Innovation Coaching Program that AIC developed for the Queensland government Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts (DSITIA) and which AIC delivered across Queensland between 2009 and 2013. The program was developed as part of the Queensland Wide Innovation Network (QWIN) which assists SMEs to access a range of innovation services and innovation support programs.
The new commercial Innovation Coaching program from AIC provides numerous benefits:
- Mentoring by providing the client with a wealth of experience gained by the AIC in working with hundreds of clients
- Guided coaching with practical tools to give lasting, hands-on learning in business innovation
- Referrals through AIC's extensive networks so that the client has access to the best expertise.
Companies that benefit most from this service are small to medium enterprises (SMEs), or clusters of SMEs that are ready to innovate, and that have leaders committed to innovation but do not currently have the clear direction, confidence, capabilities or creative processes to take advantage of the power of innovation without some assistance. The AIC Innovation Coaching process teaches companies HOW TO INNOVATE and HOW TO BECOME AN INNOVATIVE COMPANY for the long term.
